On-going and planned projects in the territory of Žuvintas Biosphere Reserve:

• „Conservation of inland wetland biodiversity in Lithuania“ (United Nations Development Program/GEF) on going till 2008.
  
• „Management and Restoration of Natura 2000 sites through an Integrated River Basin Management Plan of the Dovine River”, financed by the Dutch Government PIN-Matra program, on-going till 2006.
  
• „Internal forest inventory project of Žuvintas biosphere reserve“, implemented by the State enterprise "Forest Inventory and Management Institute" (FIMI) on 2003.
  
• “Strengthening Capacity for Agri-environmental Programming and Implementation in Lithuania” implemented by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, MoA and Lithuanian Fund for Nature, 2003-2004.
  
• „BIRD – wetlands, nature reserves and cultural landscape for rural development“, Baltic Sea regional project INTTERREG, started to implement on 2004.
